Christine has been reading and writing since she first discovered the joy and power of the written word (circa age 3).

Past formal education & related experience: University-level work in Classical Studies (special love for Latin). Diploma: Rehabilitation Practitioner (Developmental Services Worker). Work experience with individuals triumphing over developmental and sensory challenges.

Currently enrolled: Palliative Care Certificate Program, Loyalist College (Ontario, Canada)

Life experience informing her writing: Christine is a frequent contributor to the Alzheimer Society of Canada's caregiver forums, and to The Light Beyond (a forum for those recently bereaved). Having lost a Mom to Alzheimer's disease in September 2010, she is currently working on a description of her journey through and beyond the Alzheimer's path (working title: Moments). Christine is a supporter of the hospice philosophy of care, and currently volunteers with Hospice Toronto (www.hospicetoronto.ca).

Current themes of writing: dementia, aging well, individual and social justice, law vs justice, strong women, successful aging and lifelong learning.

Lifetime joys and achievements: being Jannie`s daughter; reading, writing, living.
